Optos Says Revenue Up In Third Quarter On New Customers And Sales

LONDON (Alliance News) - Medical retinal imaging technology company Optos PLC Thursday said revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose to USD42 million compared with USD40.1 million a year earlier, driven primarily by growth in new customers and sales.


The company said underlying revenue for the nine months to June 30 rose 13% with headline year-to-date revenues up to USD114.7 million from USD113.1 million a year earlier.


In the quarter, Optos said it added 364 new customers, compared with 356 a year earlier and 992 customers in the nine months to June 30, up from 848 a year earlier.


Optos said this takes its total installed base to 6,846 from 5,945 at the start of the financial year in January.


Overall, net debt reduced to USD19.6 million at the period-end, from USD35.5 million at March 30.


Optos shares were up 5.3% at 184.24 pence Thursday morning.
