LightPointe Adds to Reseller Channel in Middle East, Signing Omarco, an IT Provider Specializing in Cloud Network Infrastructure and Healthcare Solutions
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Telecommunications Weekly -- LightPointe, the leading manufacturer of Gigabit capacity outdoor point-to-point data bridges, announced that the company has signed a reseller agreement with Omarco, a provider of information technology and communications services in Saudi Arabia.
"We are pleased that Omarco has chosen to add LightPointe's wireless products to their offering," said John Taylor, vice president of sales for LightPointe. "Omarco is emerging as a major player in IT products and services, such as network connectivity solutions, big data infrastructure, cloud computing, and medical IT systems. We look forward to enhancing Omarco's product offering with point-to-point wireless bridges which can serve as an integral component in such networks. Omarco is well positioned in that it has both the technical consulting talent and state of the art products to provide customers in the Middle East with end-to-end, turn-key IT solutions. Combined with LightPointe's backing, and our existing distribution partners in the Middle East, Omarco is poised to become one of the leading IT integrators in the region."
LightPointe's Free Space Optics laser bridges and E-band backhaul radios are increasingly being deployed by data centers, financial institutions, school campuses, businesses, hospitals, and 4G/mobile telecommunications carriers to meet the massive demand for data bandwidth, and to replace slower fiber connections and leased lines.
"After carefully evaluating various wireless bridge manufacturers, we are excited to add LightPointe's line of Free Space Optics and radio frequency bridges to our product line," said Dr. Omar Alghamdi, CEO of Omarco. "Such outdoor connectivity solutions are perfect for both our growing cloud infrastructure business and our healthcare technical services division. LightPointe's advanced, high capacity and Ultra Low Latency (ULL) wireless bridges will enable us to deliver solutions which optimize our customers' networks and save them money each and every month. We are particularly impressed with the new AireBridge™ Series, which is the industry's only software-defined laser bridge, making it affordable and very flexible. Each AireBridge link has up to eight laser beams for maximum reliability and unparalleled Gigabit capacity between buildings."
