BRIEF: St. Cloud native leads crowdsourced music at George

July 17, 2014

St. Cloud Times, Minn.

July 17--A unique form of music came together as about 50 participants walked through a pathway staked out in the grass near Lake George on Wednesday evening.

What is known as a "crowdsourced performance" was organized by St. Cloud native Flannery Cunningham.

Instructions called for participants to ring small bells as they passed a particular color of ribbon on the walk and to sing the note posted on the stake. Cunningham recorded the music.

The event preceded the Summertime by George! entertainment at Eastman Park.

Cunningham, who graduated from Technical High School in 2009, is a Princeton University graduate and music composer. She will soon move to Oxford, England, to continue her studies.
