July 17--Free wagon rides, barrel races and a parade are part of the 22nd annual Horse and Buggy Days, which run Friday through Sunday in Sisseton.
Barrel races begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by chicken wings served by the Sisseton Volunteer Fire Department. Starting at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center are "Campfire Tales," sponsored by the Sisseton Arts Council.
Saturday activities include an adult kickball tournament, a 5K run and walk, games and barrel train rides. Performing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. are Wendy Landmark and the Rhubarb Jam Band from Watertown. A beer garden opens at 1 p.m.The Dakota Drum Group plays from 2:35 to 3:30 p.m., followed by Kalli Grimsrud and Tiffany Knecht at 3:30 p.m. Swimming is free at the pool from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. Fuse will play at a street dance starting at 9 p.m.
A Modern Tractor Shine and Show runs all day Sunday at Anderson Park. Also on Sunday, the Horse and Buggy Days parade begins at 1 p.m. Music will be performed from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Anderson Park.
Free lemonade, bars and cookies will be served Saturday and Sunday at Stavig House.
