announced an expansion of their technology partnership as Compass Group
rolls out the Agilysys Elevate™ POS solution to additional customer
Elevate is a cloud-based, single-pass point-of-sale system that enables
customers to take advantage of fast-moving trends in application
delivery. The system uses open architecture for maximum flexibility and
scalability and employs Verishield Total Protect, an advanced end-to-end
encryption technology from VeriFone that securely protects cardholder
data and helps reduce PCI scope for merchants.
Compass Group's initial phase rollout, which began in January, focused
on corporate dining; the solution is now being expanded to schools,
healthcare facilities and other foodservice locations the company
serves. Elevate is currently installed in more than two dozen locations,
with new sites being added every month.
Features of the Elevate solution include remote deployment capabilities,
flexible configuration, intuitive order entry and unified enterprise
reporting. The system supports a variety of peripheral devices,
including barcode scanners, receipt printers, scales and pole displays.
Elevate is a cost-effective point-of-sale option, reducing the level of
professional services required to implement, configure and manage the
system. A monthly subscription fee includes support and maintenance, and
upgrades are delivered automatically as new versions are released.
