3i appoints new director

PRIVATE equity firm 3i yesterday announced the appointment of Caroline Banszky as a non-executive director. She took up the post after yesterday's annual general meeting.


Banszky is managing director of the global investment trust Law Debenture Corporation (LDC).


Prior to joining (LDC), she was chief operating officer at Novae Group and finance director at NM Rothschild & Sons. Banszky qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat Matlick & Mitchell, now part of KEMP.


Sir Adrian Montague, 3i chairman, said she "brings a tremendous amount of banking, investment and operating experience across a range of businesses."


Banszky commented: "I am delighted to be joining 3i as it continues to focus on successfully implementing its strategic plan and generating shareholder value."
