Regan defends increase as SFA face music over tickets

July 16, 2014

Stewart Regan says the increase in ticket prices for Scotland's Euro 2016 qualifying campaign is fair - using a comparison with a gig involving French DJ David Guetta to support his case.

The SFA has been criticised after unveiling prices for five qualifiers and a friendly against England which will cost up to pound(s)250 for a six-match season ticket. The chief executive said it was justified citing "similar events", including "David Guetta, Bellahouston Park - pound(s)44.00 + fulfilment fee".

In an email to a fan, he said: "It is important to factor in the additional high-profile friendly against England as well as recognising there are lower category options available for those not wishing to purchase top-priced seats."
