The U. S. International Trade Commission (USITC or Commission), intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, with the Economist Intelligent Unit, 750 Third Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10017. The USITC anticipates award of a Purchase Order, on a sole source basis, to the Economist Intelligence Unit. The Economist Intelligent Unit will provide the USITC country, commodity, industry, and political information for most developed and developing nations worldwide. Economist Intelligent Unit also will provide the Commission news related items to the above statistical data services. These services are a heavily relied upon resource for analyst and economists working on investigations, research assignments and commodity and country monitoring. The anticipated period of performance is expected to be 12 months from date of award. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. However, any information received within five business days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
