Loonie Mixed Ahead Of BoC Interest Rate Decision

CANBERA (Alliance News) - The Bank of Canada is to announce its decision on interest rates at 10:00 am ET Wednesday. The interest rates are seen on hold at 1.00%.

Ahead of the announcement, the loonie showed mixed trading against the other major currencies. While the loonie held steady against the euro, it fell back against the rest of major currencies.

The loonie was worth 1.4563 against the euro, 1.0075 against the aussie, 94.45 against the yen and 1.0764 against the greenback as of 9:55 am ET.
