Intel outlook pleases investors

? Chipmaker Intel enjoyed a four per cent share price rise after the US markets closed last night following strong quarterly sales of $13.8bn and a bullish outlook. The firm had alredy upgraded its forecasts to reflect better-than-expected demand for PCs, particularly in businesses. For the second quarter, Intel's net income totalled $2.8bn.
