Eighth Dreamliner for Ethiopian

July 16, 2014

Ethiopian Airlines received its eighth Boeing 787 Dreamliner on June 26, 2014. This is out of the 10 it has ordered from the Boeing Company.

According to the Airline's official website, it will receive two more Dreamliners before the end of 2014. The company will assign the aircraft to its Addis Abeba to London Heathrow route.

Ethiopian re-invested its 110 million dollar profit for 2012/2013 on its fleet. It also took a loan of 500 million dollars from China recently to buy aircrafts from Boeing.

Ethiopian was the first company after Japan Airlines to receive a Boeing 787, in August 2012. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is one of the most technologically advanced aircrafts in the world.

Ethiopian is a global Pan-African carrier, currently serving 80 international destinations across five continents with over 200 daily flights.
