BRIEF: Port of Virginia lands 2016 coffee delivery point contract

July 16--A globally traded commodities firm will soon add a new delivery point at the Port of Virginia by 2016, according to a Tuesday notice filed by the firm.

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Futures U.S., will add the Hampton Roads-based port as a delivery point for its Arabica coffee futures contract starting September 2016, the notice said.

ICE Futures U.S. specializes in the trade of Arabica coffee, frozen concentrated orange juice, sugar and cocoa, according to a company brochure.

The notice specifies the Port of Virginia as including marine terminals "in and around" Norfolk International Terminals, Newport News Marine Terminal, APM Terminals and Portsmouth Marine Terminal.
