"Lavanya brings a wealth of airline industry experience to Alaska Air Group, which makes him perfectly suited to lead our investor relations effort," said Brandon Pedersen, Alaska Air Group executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer.
Sareen is a 17-year veteran of the hospitality industry, having most recently served as director of corporate strategy and business development for United Airlines from 2011 to the present. Prior to that, he served as director of financial analysis for Continental Airlines and worked with Marriott Group Hotels and Taj Hotels.
Sareen holds a master's of business administration degree in finance from Rice University'sJones Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management.
