NCA Adopts Law to Grant Loan Worth 398 MD

July 15, 2014

The National Constituent Assembly adopted Monday a draft law on a loan agreement worth 398 Million Tunisian Dinars (MTD) concluded between Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) stemming from the World Bank (WB).

The loan to be granted to Tunisia in one installment and to be paid over 30 years with a 6 and half year grace period is meant to boost the national economy and support State budget.

The support budget programme, subject of this loan, seeks to boost the economic activity as well as reduce the direct negative impact on financial balance and cover the deficit of financial resources.
