Minnesota GOP: The Republican Party of Minnesota Announces Second Quarter Financial Results

July 14, 2014

ST. PAUL, Minn., July 14 -- The Minnesota Republican Party issued the following news item:

In a press release today, the Republican Party of Minnesota announced strong financial results for the second quarter of 2014. The second quarter fundraising results included $1.2 million for a 2014 year-to-date total of $1.9 million, with cash on hand as of June 30th totaling $358,000.

"The Party has made substantial progress in building a strong financial position including dramatically improved working capital and a significant reduction in total liabilities from two years ago," said Bron Scherer, State Party Treasurer. "The restructuring of our debt in 2012 and our political operations in 2013 is now paying dividends, and coupled with consistent, strong fundraising results, we are ready to direct substantial resources to this year's election cycle."

Last week, the Party announced its strongest fundraising month in recent history and also rolled out its Victory Program statewide offices and website. Today's announcement reinforced that the Party has repositioned itself to be a positive force in the 2014 election.

"While there is still a lot of work to do, we are encouraged by these results," said Pete Hegseth, Republican Party of Minnesota Finance Chair. "We have built a healthy balance between small and large donors, and the surge of contributions since the State Convention show that people are excited about our candidates and our chances in November."
