Polymath metalheads Mastodon (pictured) are back with new one Once More 'Round The Sun. You can make like early man and hunt down the beasts as they bring some warmth this winter (19 Nov-2 Dec, tour starts Academy, Dublin, seetickets.com) . . . After a triumphant couple of turns at Glastonbury, the well-turned out seaside lovers Metronomy have announced a December tour taking in some slightly less muddy venues (4-6 Dec, tour starts O2 Academy, Glasgow, seetickets.com) . . . Joe Mount and his gang stop off at Ally Pally and so do the Libertines who, after their successful (just don't mention the crowd control) Hyde Park reunion gigs, take to Europe and north London in September (26-28 Sep, Alexandra Palace, N22, axs.com) . . . Former Pavement frontman's newish band Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks are back out on the road this August with a clutch of small, but no-doubt perfectly formed gigs (25-30 Aug, tour starts Old Market, Brighton, ticketmaster.co.uk) . . . Finally, Manchester Pride Big Weekend has announced that 90s big-hitters Anastacia and All Saints will play alongside new acts such as Foxes this summer (22-25 Aug, various venues, manchesterpride.com).
