LG G3 Leverages NXP Software's Enhanced Voice Quality Solution

NXP Software B.V. reported that the, now globally released, LG G3 phone incorporates LifeVibes VoiceExperience solution.

According to a company release, the LG G3 is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, integrating LifeVibes VoiceExperience to enhance the voice quality for all conversations such as Circuit Switched, VoLTE, VoIP calls and LG's Q-Voice speech recognition.

"Using our full software solution has distinct advantages for handset makers," says Charles G Park, Head of NXP Software Korea. "It reduces the BOM costs, accelerates the time to market, and provides the ability to fine-tune our software to match the characteristics of the individual handset, and the preferences of the different regions."

LifeVibes VoiceExperience delivers unprecedented audio quality and clarity,

offering natural voice calling that enhances consumers' experience. Excellent

noise suppression and echo cancellation is based on advanced voice modelling

techniques, allowing unwanted signals to be removed selectively. Echo and noise

is thus removed without affecting natural speech quality, ensuring intelligibility in noisy environments, especially when using speaker mode.

The Company noted that the VoiceExperience is a platform- independent, full-software solution offering time-to-market and measurably quality, backed by worldwide support. LifeVibes VoiceExperience is optimized for Hexagon SDK from Qualcomm Technologies, which enables developer and manufacturers to create multimedia user experiences by improving speech, audio imaging and video features and performance on devices powered by Snapdragon processors.
