July 12--Sanford Health's new Thief River Falls complex will open this fall with the clinic on Sept. 29 and the hospital on Oct. 1, the regional health care group said.
The $60 millionSanford Thief River Falls Medical Center is located along state Highway 32 on the city's south end. Its 136,000 square feet contains 52 clinical exam rooms and 25 private inpatient suites.
Featuring a classic collegiate gothic architectural style, the building will be similar to other new Sanford facilities.
"The interior design portrays the local landscaping of Thief River Falls that will reflect the beautiful rivers, fields and forests that surround the area," said Chief Operating Officer Rob Lovejoy. "The facility was designed completely with patients in mind to provide the best experience possible."
Sanford also will remodel the current Thief River Falls clinic on U.S. Highway 59 to provide other health care services, including a wellness center. The current downtown campus will also house health care services, such as dialysis.
The group employs more than 55 clinicians and employs more than 540 staff members in Thief River Falls.
