Canoe to Nickajack bat cave

Canoe to Nickajack Cave, where thousands of endangered gray bats from each summer to raise their young. Park at the mouth of the cave and watch as the fly out for their nightly feeding. Paddle back to launch after dusk.

River City Sessions

Featuring locally grown and nationally renowned bluegrass group the Earl Brackin Band; southern-gothic themed songwriter India Ramey; and Twisted Roots, a theatrical production based on the poetry of Emma Bell Miles.

Brews, Beats and Hues at Pasha

A group art and music sampling of local underground talent spanning genres at Pasha Coffee House in St. Elmo.


Cartooning workshop

Indie comic book artist and storyteller, Alex Ogle will show the class how to draw characters and render them using dramatic lighting techniques. Saturday at Balance Art and Yoga studio.

Artful Yoga

Inspired by summer heat and a work of video art in the Museum, "salute the sun and fold into power" at this Artful Yoga.
