NACHA Briefs Senate Banking, House and Urban Affairs Committee

HERNDON, Va., July 10 -- NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association issued the following news release:

On July 8, 2014, NACHA briefed the United States Senate Banking, House and Urban Affairs Committee staff on the history and attributes of the ACH Network. Bill Sullivan, senior director and group manager of NACHA's Government & Industry Relations, and Cindy Jenkins, senior director and group manager of ACH Network Risk Management at NACHA, provided information about resources that financial institutions can use to better assess and monitor companies that may present a higher than average risk profile when initiating automated clearinghouse transactions. Additional details will be published in NACHA's "GR Update" on Tuesday, July 15.
