Loonie Mixed Ahead Of Canada Jobs Data

CANBERA (Alliance News) - Canada jobs data for June is due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Economists expect an increase of 20,000 jobs in June, compared to an addition of 25,800 jobs in May. The jobless rate is seen unchanged at 7.0%.

Ahead of the data, the loonie showed mixed trading against the other major currencies. While the loonie came off from early highs against the greenback and the aussie and the yen, it rose against the euro.

The loonie was worth 1.4465 against the euro, 1.0002 against the aussie, 95.13 against the yen and 1.0640 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
