BRIEF: Portions of A1A and adjacent streets to close for film production on Fort Lauderdale Beach

July 12--Temporary road closures along Fort Lauderdale Beach began Friday for production of the movie "Ride Along 2."

The filming includes simulated gunfire and a vehicle accident, according to the city. Surrounding properties will remain open during the six days of filming in the area.

The temporary road closures include:

Northbound and southbound turn lanes from A1A to Terramar Street from 10 p.m. Sunday to 9 p.m. Monday;

A1A northbound and southbound between Auramar Street and Riomar Street from noon to 9 p.m. Monday;

A1A northbound and southbound between Riomar Street and Auramar Street from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday; North Birch Road between Granada Street and Riomar Street from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday;

A1A northbound and southbound between Bayshore Drive and Terramar Street from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.July 21.
