July 10, 2014

Wilmington, Del.-based provider of security services My Digital Shield has raised $500,000 from the Canadian Litera Investments-led investment group.

The company has used the money so far to develop its product, a cloud-based security solution targeted at small businesses.

The company's strategy is focused on the little guy, a market segment My Digital Shield says is underserved and it hopes the channel feels the same as it prepares for its product launch this month.

My Digital Shield Founder and CEO Andrew Bagrin, said : "We definitely want to promote doing everything through the IT firms. You can buy it direct from us, but if you do you get it at list price . All of our marketing leads are being funneled through the channel. The channel's very important, especially from where we sit."
