United States : CURSE secures funding for game VoIP and community services

Curse has declared the obtaining of $10 million in round B venture capital funding and a $6 million in debt funding for a total of $16 million.

Till now, Curse has secured total of $22 million in funding. It delivers a suite of services and products to request to hardcore gamers, from community management to livestreaming, eSports, and modding communities.

Curse Voice, a VoIP service for games, has been introduced by the company recently. The service has received more than a million users in just 2 weeks in beta.

According to Curse, its service differs from the others as it hides personally identifiable information, comprising IP address, from players that connect over Curse Voice.

The company stated that the funds will be used to further develop Curse Voice and its community offerings. The VC funding round was led by new Curse investor GGV Capital, while the $6 million in debt financing came from Multiplier Capital.
