TOSAC set to present 'Alice in Wonderland Jr.'

July 10--THOMASVILLE -- Thomasville On Stage And Company is set to present "Alice in Wonderland Jr." as the summer musical production of this season. Rehearsals have been under way for several weeks.

Audiences may recognize a number of the performers who are becoming veterans of the Storefront Theater stage located at 117 S. Broad St. Once again, there are two casts for the summer presentation.

During auditions, Director Pat Orr said, "There are so many talented children in our area it is just too hard to narrow it down to a few."

"Alice in Wonderland Jr." promises to be filled with lively music, dancing and action as audiences adventure down the rabbit hole with Alice. Once there, she will meet a grand assortment of whimsical characters coming from the imagination of author Lewis Carroll.

Great adventures are to be had by all while in Wonderland, including a Tea Party at the Mad Hatter's and a strange game of croquette with the Queen of Hearts.

There will be eight opportunities to see the casts in action, including matinees on Saturday and July 19. The first performance is today at 8 p.m. A second Friday show is scheduled for 8 p.m. on July 18.

The Saturday shows are slated for 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Performances are also set for 2 p.m. on Sunday and July 20
