Sen. Fischer Introduces Bill to Increase Coverdell Education Savings Accounts Contribution Limit

WASHINGTON, July 10 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., has introduced legislation (S. 2568) to "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the contribution limit for Coverdell education savings accounts from $2,000 to $5,000."

The bill was introduced on July 8.

The legislation was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
