Progress of Parliamentary Commissions' Work Discussed

The Bureau of the National Constituent Assembly, which met, Wednesday, examined the progress of work of the parliamentary commissions tasked with the 2014 supplementary financial bill.

The bureau also discussed work of the General Legislation and Liberties and External Relations Commissions on the counter-terrorism and money laundering draft law.

During the meeting, the NCA bureau reviewed the reports of the Finance, Planning and Development Commission regarding four draft laws and decided to examine them in a plenary session next Monday.

The NCA bureau also addressed the resignation of KhÉmaies Chammari from the Truth and Dignity Commission and the need to replace him.

NCA President Mustapha Ben Jaafar called for re-activating the Vetting Committee for this authority so as to fill the vacancy after initiating consultations with the Administrative Court.

The bureau invited the committee to hold a meeting next Monday.
