designed for versatility

Canon Middle East expands its professional video range with the launch of the XF205 and XF200 - a duo of compact video cameras that deliver powerful features, professional functionality and high levels of image quality for a wide range of camera operators. Building on the blueprint of Canon's highly successful XF105 and XF100 cameras, the new models have been enhanced to reflect feedback received from professionals working in a variety of fields. Further extending the XF range, both offer even greater versatility, with a more powerful Canon HD Video System, numerous recording modes, wireless connectivity and an enhanced operational design providing operators with greater freedom to shoot, view and distribute their footage during assignments. The new cameras have been designed to enable users to achieve more than ever with a compact camcorder.

Blend of 10x zoom and Galaxy

Samsung Electronics Co announced the Samsung Galaxy K zoom, the only smartphone in the world with a "true optical zoom" camera. Crafted for ease, portability and fun, the K zoom captures brilliant images and videos at the drop of a hat, and comes stocked with the best apps and functions for dynamic consumers on the move. Galaxy K zoom is designed to offer the same range of capabilities as a professional camera. Armed with a 10x optical zoom that retracts into its remarkably slim body, the Galaxy K zoom captures crisp, sharp images at 20.7MP and Full HD videos at 60p, even when zoomed in. Low light conditions and blur caused by motion are also tackled with the Galaxy K zoom thanks to a 20.7 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, blur-reducing Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS), and the Xenon Flash, cutting-edge technology that provides brighter light than LEDs to improve the quality of an image with natural brilliance.

smallest and lightest

Sony Middle East and Africa FZE announced the launch of the latest 4K Handycam FDR-AX100E approximately 75 per cent smaller and 66 per cent lighter than the previous FDR-AX1E, making it easy for one-handed use and portability. The newest 4K Handycam AX100E from Sony is particularly ideal for people who wish to capture and enjoy their special memories on their 4K BRAVIA TV in the highest possible resolution. The FDR-AX100E is the first 4K Handycam that features the 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor that is far larger than the sensor in normal consumer camcorders. Capturing flawless 4K Ultra HD images (3840 x 2160 pixels) with four times the detail of Full HD, the sensor also allows beautiful 'bokeh' background blur effects even when shooting outdoors in sunny conditions.
