By Mary Ellen Podmolik, Chicago Tribune

July 10--Average fixed mortgage rates pretty much danced in place this week, according to Freddie Mac's weekly survey.

The average rate on a 30-year loan was 4.15 percent, compared with 4.12 percent last week and 4.51 percent in the same week a year ago.

On a 15-year mortgage, this week's average rate of 3.24 percent was slightly higher than last week's 3.22 percent. A year ago, the average interest rate was 3.53 percent.
