July 01--Country singer Trace Adkins, who has sold more than 10 million albums, will play Sands Bethlehem Event Center, the venue announced Monday.

Adkins, who has had 11 Top 10 singles, four of which went to No. 1, and 15 years of successful tours, will play the event center 8 p.m.Sept. 11.

Tickets, at $49.50-$79.50, go on sale 10 a.m.July 11 at http://www.sandseventcenter.com, http://www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Adkins played the event center in November on his tour for his latest album, last year's Celtic-themed Christmas disc "The King's Gift."

With 17 albums, Adkins has had 23 Top 20 country hits, including the No. 1 hits "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "You're Gonna Miss This." He has won many awards since being chosen the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist in 1996, and acted in nearly a dozen films.

He even twice participated in Donald Trump's television business competition "Celebrity Apprentice," and won the all-star edition in 2013.

He is now on his first tour since a series of personal setbacks. He had a confrontation with a Trace Adkins impersonator on a cruise ship in January that caused him to enter rehab for alcoholism relapse; his father died in February; and his wife of 16 years, Rhonda Forlaw Adkins, filed for divorce in March.

At a show three weeks ago at Mount Airy casino resort's outdoor Sherman Theater stage -- playing just the second time since those troubles -- Adkins looked refreshed and rejuvenated, noticeably thinner than in recent years.

He played a 19-song, 83-minute set that included two songs from a new album he says will be out this year. That would be his first disc of new music since 2013's album "Love Will ..."

Adkins also played Easton'sState Theatre in June 2010.
