Third Party Administrator for Workers Compensation Program

Tenders are invited for Third Party Administrator for Workers% Compensation Program. PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT : Palm Beach County is seeking a qualified Third Party Administrator (TPA) to provide claims adjusting and related services to the Risk Management Department for its self-insured Workers% Compensation Program within the provisions of Chapter 440 of the Florida State Statutes and within the established protocol and procedures of the County. The County is particularly interested in achieving savings through aggressive bill and utilization review, PPO networks, and Prescription Benefit Management (PBM). The County is not seeking a formal Managed Care program. The County requires a TPA that is able to provide onsite adjusters. In addition to offsite account management, Information Technology services and a full-time dedicated administrative assistant, the County%s expiring contract currently includes two (2) onsite lost-time adjusters and one (1) medical only adjuster. It is the preference of the County to retain the services of existing contracted onsite staff, if contracted staff so desires, in the event the incumbent is not selected. The County will consider alternative staffing proposals providing that at least two (2) onsite lost-time adjusters are included in the proposal. An alternative staffing proposal may be for three (3) onsite lost time adjusters with the medical only adjuster(s) located at the offices of the TPA.
