Disaster Recovery Remote Site

Tenders are invited for Disaster Recovery Remote Site. SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS Introduction The Information Technology Management Office, on behalf of The South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR), is soliciting for a data center service contractor that provides remote disaster recovery and computing co-location capabilities during non-disaster normal operation. The data center must meet the following geographic requirements: more than fifty (50) miles away and within four (4) hours driving time of the DOR facility at 300A Outlet Pointe Blvd, Columbia, SC 29210; more than one hundred (100) miles inland from the Atlantic coast. The data center shall be outside of the 100 year flood plain. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide in a manner to ensure 24x7x365 operation and security: facilities, floor space, cages, racks, power, network connectivity, cooling, heating, fire protection, water detection, environmental control, monitoring and alerts of all vendor-supplied services, operations management and staff support. DOR will provide computers, data storage equipment and network equipment to be installed within facility floor space and rack space that is supplied by the vendor. DOR will install and manage the equipment that it provides. The data center and associated vendor services must be compliant with IRS Publication 1075 (Attachment A), PCI-DSS and South Carolina Code Section 12-54-240, SC DOR Information Security Policies (Attachment B) and SC DOR Information Security Standards (Attachment C), Federal law and State law. IRS Publication 1075 Exhibit 7, Safeguarding Contract Language is explicitly or by reference included in the agreement with the vendor, in accordance with IRC 6103(n). Inspection DOR will visit the bidder s proposed facility to confirm compliance to solicitation specifications prior to award. Networking DOR will procure WAN connectivity to the facility demarcation. The Contractor shall provide facility demarcation connectivity and equipment required by the WAN provider. The Contractor shall provide all cables, secure cable runs and installation from the facility demarcation to the floor space and rack space in which DOR equipment is installed. DOR will order and install all cabling between its own equipment. Rack and Floor Space Specifications The Contractor shall supply floor space with two (2) 48U racks for DOR to install DOR-supplied equipment. The Contractor shall also supply fifty-five (55) square feet of empty floor space. The empty floor space is for DOR-supplied equipment that is already racked. The equipment that is already racked consists of seven (7) 48U racks, 24Wx42Dx75H (inches). DOR (SCBOS) anticipates requirements for additional three (3) 48U racks in calendar year 2015 (Do not include in bid price, will be added through a Change Order when/if additional space is required). Power 1) The Contractor shall provide power cabling to DOR equipment.
