United States : STATE ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITIES CORPORATION approves fund to upgrade wastewater systems

June 9, 2014

The State Environmental Facilities Corporation Board has announced the approval of more than $26.5 million in interest-free and low-interest financing for wastewater developments in Tarrytown and North Yonkers.

The approved fund consists of $12.25 million in interest-free financing and $12.25 million in low-interest financing. The loan will help to improve the Tarrytown pump station in the Saw Mill Sewer District, which serves part of Tarrytown and part of Sleepy Hollow.

In addition, a short-term zero-interest local of $1.1 million, along with a $1.1 million low-interest loan, was agreed. The money will be used for the establishment of a series of pressure serge chambers at the North Yonkers pump station.

Westchester County aims to turn into long-term financing for the two projects in 2015.
