Tokyo stocks drop slightly in morning on profit taking

Tokyo stocks fell slightly Tuesday morning as investors locked in gains after its recent gains.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 65.85 points, or 0.44 percent, from Monday to 15,058.15. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 1.85 points, or 0.15 percent, to 1,232.93.

Major decliners included pulp and paper, communication and marine transport issues.
