Sisi - Egypt Keen On Building Real Partnership With World Countries

President-elect Abdul-Fattah al-Sisi received a number of phone calls from world leaders congratulating him on winning the presidential elections.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde has congratulated al-Sisi on wining the presidential elections during a phone call on Friday.

Lagarde wished Sisi success in his new post, praising the fairness of the presidential elections and high turnout in the polls.

She hoped more cooperation between Egypt and the IMF during the coming period.

For his part, President Sisi said Egypt is in need in the current period for more cooperation with the IMF within a comprehensive plan to improve Egypt's economy and increase growth rates.

Egypt is keen to cooperate with all countries and organizations worldwide to build a real partnership and improve the economic conditions of the Egyptian people, Sisi told the IMF chief.
