Croatia : RP GLOBAL opens 44MW in CROATIA

RP Global announced that its 43.7MW Danilo wind farm in Croatia is started operation. The wind farm supplies energy to the grid.

Danilo wind farm is located about 15 km from the Adriatic Sea and the town of Sibenik. It comprises 19 Enercon E-82 turbines. It will help to produce about 100GWh of electricity a year.

The project was funded by the World Bank s International Finance Corporation and Unicredit Vienna, as well as Zagreba?ka Banka. RP Global country manager for Croatia Bojan Rescec commented: With the use of cutting-edge technology, this wind farm is designed and built according to the strictest criteria of environmental protection.

According to the company, it will commence the set up of its second wind park in Croatia. The 34.2MW Rudine project will be located near Dubrovnik. The project will be jointly established with Croatian company Adria Wind Power.

IFC and Unicredit will provide finance for the project. RP Global stated that it is anticipating to collaborate with local and international co-investors, who are looking for long-term, attractive infrastructure investments in the region .
