As part of its commitment to add value to products and services, bank muscat has introduced for the first time in Oman the con­venience of card acquiring services at the doorstep of cus­tomers, a press release said. Launched in partnership with Visa, the new facility is pres­ently available for customers availing home delivery service by Pizza Hut. The facility allows customers who order home delivery from Pizza Hut to use their debit/credit cards issued by any bank for payment on bank muscat GPRS portable PoS machine carried by Pizza Hut vendors.

Tariq Atiq, AGM – cards and ebanking, said, "In line with the leadership position in Oman, bank muscat is delighted to launch yet another value­added service benefiting customers. Reflecting our commitment to providing the 'best in class' serv­ice, bank muscat continues to invest in cutting edge IT infra­ structure, latest point of sale ter­minals and competent human resources available in the pay­ments industry."

Yogesh Shah, general manager of Khimji Restaurants, said, "The partnership with bank muscat allows us to revolutionise the payment method for our home delivery customers. We have wit­nessed a growing trend towards less cash and more convenience and as the sultanate's most loved pizza place, we are honoured to be the first restaurant chain to pioneer this service."
