Viva! Pomona returns to The Glass House with Thee Oh Sees, John Legend to perform at San Manuel Casino

June 06--The full lineup for the July 19-20 Viva! Pomona festival was recently announced and headliners include Sacramento dance punk's !!! (Chk Chk Chk) and San Francisco's garage and psychedelic rock act Thee Oh Sees.

!!! is scheduled to perform on July 19 with fellow headliners Porter, an experimental rock band that hails from Guadalajara and Orange County experimental punk act The Garden at the Glass House in Pomona.

Other acts scheduled on the first day of the festival include Puro Instinct; SPEAK!; Upset; El Mato A Un Policia Motorizado; So Many Wizards; Haunted Summer; Shadowrunners; Kids on a Crime Spree; Roses; Edith Crash; Phaxanation and the Dustkickers; Winter; Saint; Girlpool; Dorotheo; Gusgoose; Sebastian Posso; and Dabble.

Thee Oh Sees is scheduled to headline on July 20 with Long Beach indie rock's Crystal Antlers and San Francisco garage punk's FuzZ (with Ty Segall on drums). Additional acts to perform are Chicano Batman; The Lovely Bad Things; Terry Malts; Summer Vacation; Souvenirs; The Younger Lovers; Cogito; The Frights; Los Blenders; Santoros; Michael Rey and the Woebegones; The Dead Ships; Salvador and the Unicorn; Za; Prettiest Eyes; The Vibekills; and Melted.

Tickets are $20 for each day. The concerts start at 5 p.m. at The Glass House at 248 W. 2nd St. in Pomona.

At the San Manuel Casino, R&B star John Legend is scheduled to stop by on his "The All of Me Tour" on July 17. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $81 to $101 not including fees.

Prior to Legend's concert, two NorteÑa groups are scheduled to headline at the casino on June 26.

Voz De Mando of Huntington Park in Los Angeles, with fellow regional Mexican act Lorenzo de Monteclaro (of CuencamÉ in the state of Durango in Mexico) are scheduled to perform.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance range from $32.75 to $54.75.

All attendees must be age 21 or older to enter the casino at 777 San Manuel Blvd. in Highland.

In Upland, power pop's Paul Collins Beat (featuring New York'sPaul Collins formerly of the power pop band Nerves) is scheduled to perform at the Second Avenue Saloon along with Casey Jones & The Railsplitters, Voyage of the Beagle and No Small Children.

Tickets are expected to be $8 or $10 at the door.

The saloon is at 271 N. 2nd Ave.
