United States : CUMULUS NETWORKS officially seeks more channel partners

June 5, 2014

Planning to shake up the networking hardware market with its Linux-based network operating system, startup Cumulus Networks, is officially seeking more channel partners.

Following its launch in North America nine months ago, the company will on Tuesday enhance its channel program to work with partners in Japan and Australia.

Established in 2010 by former Cisco and VMware networking engineers, Cumulus Networks, intends to duplicate the success of Linux on the server in the networking hardware market.

While firms such as Cisco sell tightly combined networking hardware and software, Cumulus Networks says its Linux-based operating system is a less costly alternative that operates on commodity hardware.
