Manulife Mutual Funds Announces Upcoming Changes to its Fund Lineup

TORONTO, June 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Manulife Mutual Funds is committed to sustaining a strong and efficient product offering that continues to serve the needs of Canadian investors. As such, Manulife Mutual Funds will make a number of changes to its platform including certain fund terminations, and the closure of Series IT.

Fund Terminations

Manulife Mutual Funds will be terminating the following three funds due to limited demand from investors:

Manulife Emerging Markets Equity FundManulife Global Natural Resources FundManulife Investment Savings Fund


The fund terminations will be effective on or about December 5, 2014. Securityholders will have the right to redeem the securities of each terminating fund up to the close of business on the effective date of the fund termination.

As of the close of business on or about July 30, 2014, each terminating fund will cease distribution of new securities.

Affected investors are encouraged to contact their advisor to discuss these fund terminations, including how to switch their assets to another Manulife mutual fund that best meets their individual investment needs and circumstances prior to December 5, 2014.

Securityholders of the terminating funds will be sent a written notice outlining the details of the termination.

Series IT Closure

Effective on or about July 30, 2014, Manulife Mutual Funds will close Series IT to all new purchases as a result of limited demand from investors. Current securityholders can continue to hold their units in Series IT.
