By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Real Estate Weekly News -- Prudential Fixed Income has hired John Vibert, naming him a managing director, structured products, the company announced. Prudential Fixed Income, among the largest U.S. fixed income managers, is a business of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU)
Vibert, who was most recently a lead portfolio manager for BlackRock's mortgage credit portfolios and lead trader for its non-agency RMBS trading team, will join the firm in August. At Prudential, he will work closely with Richard Rogers to co-lead the firm's structured finance team.
"John's deep experience in securitized markets, as well as his ability to identify value, brings leadership and depth to our structured products team," said James Sullivan, head of Prudential Fixed Income.
Before joining BlackRock, Vibert was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where he was head of adjustable-rate mortgage trading and co-head of non-agency RMBS trading. Earlier, he was a mortgage trader at Morgan Stanley and worked as a quantitative analyst at Salomon Brothers. Vibert received a B.S. in engineering from Cornell University in 1993.
