Pakistan likely to receive $555.9 million IMF tranche today

Pakistan will receive the next installment of $555.9 million of International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan today (30th June).

Sources of Finance Ministry expressed hope that due to this installment countryís foreign reserves will be increased.

Sources told that IMF in its executive board meeting has completed the review of third quarter of Pakistanís economy, after reviewing the economical progress of Pakistan IMF Board has approved the next installment of loan for Pakistan.

IMF has already provided the loan of more than one billion and 100 million dollars on the basis of three year loan program.

Sources told Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is giving especial attention on increasing foreign reserves for the economical stability of the country, stability of these reserves is also necessary for obtaining International investment in the country.
