Foxconn Invested USD5.5mn in SoundHawk

TAIWAN, June 30, SinoCast -- Foxconn last week invested USD 5.5 million in SoundHawk that has developed a smart earphone system to help the people to hear what they want to hear in a noise environment.

The company last week officially launched the first-generation SoundHawk equipment and began to accept orders via Soundhawk.com. The pre-selling price is USD 279 each and the retail price is USD 299 each.

SoundHawk last week financed USD 5.7 million from a venture capital firm True Ventures and currently makes money only through selling hardware and equipment and will launch senior applications and services matching with software.
