China Telecom, China Unicom Okayed for 4G Networking

BEIJING, June 30, SinoCast -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has approved China Telecom and China Unicom for LTE-FDD and TD-LTE experimental hybrid networking in 16 cities respectively so that their users can enjoy 4G service.

The 16 cities for experimental hybrid networking by China Telecom included Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hefei, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Nanchang, Nanning, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Xi'an, Jinan, Wuhan, Lanzhou and Haikou while the 16 cities for China Unicom included Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Jinan, Wuhan, Harbin, Shenyang, Taiyuan, Changsha, Fuzhou and Guangzhou.
