China's Import from Russia to 13-month High

BEIJING, June 30, SinoCast -- China's export value to Russia has kept a three-month month-on-month growth by this May and the monthly import value hit a nearly 13-month high, according to the General Administration of Customs.

This May, China's imported commodities from Russia mainly included crude oil and the import value of crude oil hit CNY 14.57 billion, growing 53.2% over a year earlier.

Since this March, China's export to Russia has taken on a continued rally trend. Monthly import and export value in May witnessed a month-on-month growth of 6.8%; the export value witnessed a month-on-month growth of 8.2% and maintained three-month month-on-month growth; the import value witnessed a month-on-month growth of 5.3% and hit a nearly 13-month high.

In the first five months of this year, China's import and export value with Russia totaled CNY 225.97 billion, growing 1.8% over a year earlier, accounting for 2.2% of China's total import and export value in the same period and enabling Russia to remain China's ninth largest partner.
