PGX, RYE: Big ETF Outflows

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the PowerShares Preferred Portfolio (PGX), where 6,800,000 units were destroyed, or a 4.5% decrease week over week.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Guggenheim S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy ETF (RYE), which lost 500,000 of its units, representing a 15.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of RYE, in morning trading today New Field Exploration (NFX) is down about 0.7%, and Anadarko Petroleum (APC) is lower by about 0.5%.
