entered into a master collaboration agreement with the University of
Michigan Center for Integrative Research in Critical Care (MCIRCC) (www.micircc.org).
This collaborative venture will develop technology platforms and
applications that advance the efficacy of critical care by combining
NovoDynamics intellectual property and expertise in advanced pattern
recognition, image analysis and data mining with MCIRCC’s integrated,
multidisciplinary approach to critical illness and injury research.
Together, the two organizations will develop real-time clinical decision
support systems driven by adaptive learning algorithms operating on
large datasets of patient information including medical images,
real-time biosensor data, laboratory values, patient histories and
treatment outcomes. Initial areas of focus for the team include the use
of imagery and other patient information to support the treatment of
traumatic brain, pelvic and abdominal injuries. All research will be
carried out in compliance with appropriate regulations.
