Station co-founder Michael Vakil said, “We have paid close attention to feedback from our listeners and identified a strong demand for a smartphone compatible application. As a result we have spent several months working with developers to build our very first app, which we are delighted to launch today. Sacred Music Radio is constantly evolving and we are committed to ensuring our listeners receive the very best in interfaith music. The Sacred Music Radio app makes it easy to plug in to sacred music, relax and carry inspirational songs through increasingly busy and stressful days.”

In the wake of the technological revolution, handheld and portable electronic devices have completely transformed the way modern society experiences day-to-day life. According to recent research, 61% of US citizens and 72% of Brits now own smartphones. These statistics highlight the important role that new technologies play in contemporary communication. The development of the new app stands as a testament to the station’s commitment to embracing new technology and continuing its aim of sharing sacred music with listeners across the globe. As a result Sacred Music Radio now has regular listeners in most countries.

Michael Vakil added, “We are dedicated to spreading the joy of sacred, spiritual and religious music to all corners of the world. By harnessing the power of modern technology, our new app gives listeners across the globe an accessible and convenient way to feel empowered, energised and inspired.”

Since its launch late last year, Sacred Music Radio has gained a steady following of listeners with its diverse playlist of religious and sacred songs. From Hindu chants and ancient Buddhist mantras to Christian hymns and Gospel choirs, the new app gives listeners the power and flexibility to tune into the soul soaring sounds of Sacred Music Radio from anywhere, at any time.

Whether listeners are on a train, driving a car or heading out for an early morning jog, the new Sacred Music Radio app puts uplifting interfaith music at fingertip reach.
