June 03--Allied Arts, an Oklahoma City-based nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching local communities through the advancement of the arts, hosted a free concert to thank the community for helping with its fundraising efforts in 2014.
The Sunday concert took place at Bicentennial Park and featured classic rock and roll music by local band Zoom City.
More than 600 people attended, said Kristen Bromley, Allied Arts communications assistant.
Through fundraising events, private donations and sponsorships, Allied Arts raised $3.5 million for the 2014 fiscal year, organizers said. The money will go toward helping nonprofit art organizations, Allied Arts member agencies and educational outreach programs, Bromley said.
Allied Arts surpassed its goal of $3.2 million.
