June 27--TWIN FALLS -- Police were flooded with tips Thursday evening following an armed robbery about 5 p.m. at a Blue Lakes Boulevard title loan business.

Officers have not made an arrest in the robbery, city spokesman Joshua Palmer.

Friday morning, detectives and officers were following up on leads, he said. Many people called about a person who appeared to be fleeing through neighborhoods near the robbery, at 686 Blue Lakes Blvd. N.

Palmer said three vehicles in the area were stopped and quickly checked.

Continental Loans, 686 Blue Lakes Blvd. N., contacted police about the robbery, saying a man entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He was wearing a plaid shirt, shorts and was possibly wearing a helmet, Palmer said.

Employees handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled eastbound on foot. Palmer said he didn't know if customers were in the business during the robbery.
